We’re back from the long bank holiday weekend with a bang courtesy of Los Angeles artist Duckwrth. His latest slice of hard-hitting honesty is ‘Love Is Like A Moshpit’, which pummels the listener’s ears with raw beats and Duckwrth’s relentless warning, “blah, blah, blah, blah, blah / Love is like a moshpit.” The track was produced by Medasin and features Maryland’s very own Rico Nasty, whose straight-talking bars add to the fiery energy while her smooth, melodic style acts as a counterpoint to Duckwrth’s spit. Compared to the likes of Duckwrth’s jazz-steeped ‘Bernal Heights’, ‘Love Is Like A Moshpit’ marks a new chapter for the L.A. name.
